Re: Full Court has sore vag and is spilling lots of blood again atm
If the Curries hit half of their threes (and they wouldn't) that's 1.5 points per shot. 5 bigger perimeter players of good athletic ability could "limit" the Curries to hitting half of those threes. On the other end if one of those guys is 6"7+ the Curries would be giving up 2 points, a foul, or an and 1 every time. Curry can't defend guys like Jaylen Brown, that's someone else's job. And he would have to do it without a big behind him. They are going to be fouling out and surrendering close to 100% shooting. Great as Curry is defense does matter.

Issue is how are you outscoring a team that has Steph handling the ball with 4 other Stephs moving off-ball for all of 48 minutes.
Issue with that is whose setting the screens for the off ball movement?

That's not true. Plenty of Curry reps against bigger perimeter players where he "gets a stop"
I put it quotes because usually it's just the offensive player missing a shot they can make but still, nobody is going to score all the time against Curry who is a perimeter player. Not even Lebron.

If a 6'7 athletic player takes Curry into the paint and there is no big providing defensive help he's going to get scored on. This is basic basketball. Curry is a great player overall because he's one of the 5 or so greatest scorers of all time. He is not and never has been a great defender and the Warriors would never leave him alone in the paint with a bigger player. Let's not do any fiction here.
And yes James would score every time.

If Jaylen Brown (let alone 6"9, 260 Lebron james) gets his hands on the ball in the paint all he has to do is elevate and shoot but passing out of a double would also lead to a great look. Steph Curry can't protect the basket at any level above high school. They could take open jumpers if they want to but it's a layup line of they want to attack. JB will pass if some guy like Gobert is waiting for him in the paint. But if Curry is waiting there for Brown to come in with a running start? It would be And 1 dunks all game long. He's 6'2. This is silly.

You said take him into the post, which I took as post ups. You don't get a running head start in those situations to dink on one or more of the other Steph Currys.
All in saying is that as much of an exaggeration it was to say 250 ppg for five Currys, it's just as wild to say Curry would get scored on every time or get fouled if a big guard took Curry into the post.
I think 5 Currys probably beats 5 MJs more times than not. The power of the 3 ball at that rate is going to be very difficult to overcome by a 2 pt assassin such as MJ.

Five Warriors Durant's is probably the best answer to this. He can do everything at a good level including rim protecting, playing smaller guards in iso, rebounding etc to go along with his absurd offensive ability.

What's he going to do? He's six feet, two inches tall. There is nothing he can do to prevent a 6'7 guy from scoring in the paint beyond flopping for a charge call. Great basketball players aren't going to miss lay-ups and short jumpers.

The ability to defend does actually matter in basketball.
