WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and members of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, using the extraordinary powers of his office in his final hours to guard against potential “revenge” by the incoming Trump administration.

Fauci, who helped coordinate the nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, raised the ire of Trump when he refused to back Trump’s unfounded claims. He has become a target of intense hatred and vitriol from people on the right, who blame him for mask mandates and other policies they believe infringed on their rights, even as tens of thousands of Americans were dying.

Mark Milley, who is the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and called Trump a fascist and detailed Trump’s conduct around the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection.

So Bidens administration thinks pre-emptively pardoning someone who is allegedly ...already innocent?? is going to deepen people's trust of someone like Fauci or for that matter the Biden administration who are offering said pardon?

Yeah this makes no sense and only deepens anyone's suspicion that either he or the Biden administration are hiding somethings - even if they weren't. It's a terrible look and decision.

Which makes me think there probably is some deep state stuff going on. No idea what but wow, you don't pardon people who have absolutely nothing to hide.

Doesnt even make sense... when has Trump gone after family members in court? he famously said he'd put Hilary in jail... obviously never acted on that either. Bidens once again proving themselves to be part of the swamp. Just like how Biden's younger brother is a political consultant without ever holding a public seat. Fanone retired in December 2021 and has remained very vocal about what happened to him Jan. 6. He said ever since then, he and his family have been harassed and received threats.
If the pardons do happen, he plans to file restraining orders against some of the defendants.

This guy and his family will have hellish 4 years.
