How has being woke improved your lives? (serious thread)
My friends on the left, let's hear some first hand testimony of how wokeism has improved your daily life and helped you achieve your longterm goals. Proof is always in the pudding so let's hear it! I want ACTUAL examples please this is an open platform for intelligent discussion because good ideas can of course stand the test of time and the woke movement has been going on for quite some time now. So let's hear about how it has helped you or those you may know?

On the flip side you could also answer those exact same questions on how it hindered your day to day life. I will venture out to say that the majority of wokeness did nothing good NOR bad to either side and is mostly a nothing burger. Many used as a tribal focal point for people with internet addiction who just want to argue about Aunt Jemima's label all day long.
Wokeness was basically a poor-man's civil rights movement of the 60s.
Overall it simply brought more overall awareness to lots of things which is good. It moved the dial over a notch. Now bigots are a bit less concerned with gays and have turned their focus to trans, and even with trans many have narrowed their fake outrage down to just the children. So i do think overall it helped LGTB people. And the same can be said about minorities. It forced a lot of people to take a deeper look into race and that is good no matter what the outcome.
Did wokeness go to far? In some instances sure. It's not black and white, the whole thing is grey, but generally speaking it brought more awareness to everyone.

and now Trump is your 47th president because of that.

TBH the difference to our day to to lives between Trump and Biden is mostly a nothing burger too. Unless you need an abortion or something.
But that isn't what I meant anyway, I just meant the things that wokeness focused on. Black people in commercials and movies, changing a couple sports team mascots, labels on products, etc etc meant mostly nothing to either side of the debate. It's a lot of fluff circus politics for people who have nothing better to do to argue about.

No I did not say that. Voting is much more than the POTUS.
For you though? Doomsday Dallas who lives in Texas I presume? Voting for just POTUS was indeed pointless. Your local elections probably do have an impact on you though.

Seems like Trump has put a great deal of emphasis on Texas though... stating that immigration is his top issue.
and it's funny because the Federal Government did very little to help the Texas Governor with this issue during the Biden Administration...
so much so that Governor Abbott was at the inauguration today.

Trump plans to cap credit card interest rates
for starters, we're going to see if my credit card debt goes down.

yea... it's at 25% for most people.
but that would help everybody (majority)... instead of simply helping those seeking to buy a home, or those with student debt (minority)
