The most important factor in the SD/NE match-up, by far, is Seymour and Harrison being out. "Cheating" and revenge motivations are secondary.

It doesn't matter if the coaches don't let Smith throw. The coaching has no confidence in the passing game at all. The 49ers would probably run on a 4th and 12 at this point.
