WCW/nWo Revenge -vs- WWF War Zone
Which wrestling game was better, WCW/nWo Revenge or WWF War Zone. Both games came out at the height of the Monday Night wars in 1998.

Both were awesome, but yet the next sequels for both were even better.
WWF attitude was a game at another level. The insanity of the depth of character making and customization of.... everything was just insane.
Wrestlemania 2000 (sequel to revenge), was no slouch either. The gameplay improved from revenge and was even more addicting than attitude's.
Moreover, Attitude is just the greatest wrestling game ever created. No game, even on these "Next gen consoles" have near the depth that attitude has.

Revenge, man. Mysterio all day, everyday. Didn't like the graphics and gameplay of War Zone. That other game similar to it for WCW; that I liked. Forgot what it was called.

Well said. My friends and I were so unbelievably addicted to Warzone it was crazy, it built the foundation for the excitement for attitude. I'll never forget the anticipation we had for attitude.
3x more wrestlers, better graphics, more specialized moves, and most of all, the first ever Wrestling game with detailed entrances. I remember trying every wrestler just to watch their entrance.
Wrestlemania 2000 for the 64 was amazing for its gameplay and the sick amount of moves it had.
Both great, great games.

Is this a joke? Revenge's gameplay is so superior to War Zone. Revenge's basic gameplay is still being used in today's wrestling game (grappling). War Zone, was that the one where you have to press directional buttons? Get out of here. That stuff was unplayable BACK THEN. Revenge is still the best WCW game and can be playey.

Give me WCW/NWO Revenge. WWF War Zone is not user friendly. War Zone had better graphics.

WCW/NCW Revenge. I used to watch a lot of wrestling and play a lot of wrestling games at that time...and the WWF ones were pure shit. They were more arcadey and idiotic. The WCW ones were built off of what they were doing in Japan with their wrestling games and were far, far better.
I would imagine this was the last wrestling game I got...as I believe revenge is the 2nd THQ (lol they don't exist anymore) one. I had both. I Remember renting an wwf wrestling game one time and thought it was stupid as shit even as a young teenager. (though I have fond memories of the wwf game on nes even though i know it was crap lol. Hey I was young)
