Warzone sucked AT THE TIME. I rented that game and as a little kid felt like it was a waste of my parents money. I spent hours and hours with revenge. That was one of the greatest games for the N64.

Lol this isn't even a question. Easily Revenge. I don't feel like any of the games they've made beyond that period( including W2000 and No Mercy) are as endlessly fun to play as those aki titles.

The Japanese version of NWO Revenge was awesome. You needed a converter to play it.

Not enough competition. Want NFL? It's been Madden or nothing for 15 years. NBA live hasn't been a real contender to 2k for the same stretch. Nobody other than 2K is making WWE games. There's no incentive to innovate when nobody is pushing you to be better.

That's true, as long as EA/2K hold licensing rights they 'res no competition to develop sports games any better. EA straight bought up PGA/Boxing and didn't even release a game for years up until recently. Monetization and loot boxes have sadly changed their priority on making ingame mechanics better

no storymode/ no online lobbies/too many mini games during matches/ very glitchy/ much slower pace/ roster is much weaker/ no backstage areas


wwe just got lazy.. they like many other idiotic gaming franchises are focussed more on graphics instead of gameplay

Might as well just make 1 sports game every gen for a $20 upgrade to update rosters/skins/gameplay.

Shit is reskinned year after year

The jump from PS1 Madden 99 to PS2 Madden 01 was crazy.
