Um, because unlike you, I can read, and I read the title of the thread and the responses to the OP?

What are you, 13? Shouldn't you be in school?

Ok, so here's is why the trade will NOT work:

    - Shaquille O’Neal at C and Amare Stoudemire at PF means the Suns have to totally revamp their entire offense
    - Shaq's rebounding range has shrunk significantly
    - defensively Shaq does not intimidate opposing players so thinking he’ll lock up the lane for the Suns is a pipe dream

I am not reading that long essay..but Phoenix lost 1 valuable player and 1 unknown player to many people.

Hate to say this, but Shaq isn't that great anymore imo.

Maybe or maybe not, but at the very least, Shaq will make the Suns a lot of money with jersey sales, ticket sales, advertisements, etc!

Teams will have to collapse in the middle. I don't think that there is a team in the league that can effectively guard Amare and Shaq downlow, on the block, mano y mano. I think that teams will cheat towards the middle, which means that guys like Bell, Hill and Barbosa will have a lot of wide open looks.

It's possible for Nash to successfully use O'Neal in the half-court.

Shaq has a weakness defending the pick and roll. That is a given and has been a constant throughout his career. Steve Kerr acknowledged this and said "well, I would rather have teams taking jumpers from outsides, then having an open, toll-free highway to the basket."

Basically, even though Shaq has weaknesses of his own, the fact that teams won't be able to crash the middle of the lane like they were doing previously, makes this move a plus. I'd rather see guys taking jumpers from outside, as opposed to getting easy dunks and Ginobili-type layins at the basket.

This move also forces opposing teams to work harder on defense, as it will lead to more fast break opportunities for the Suns, and having to defend against Shaq AND Amare in the paint all game, will definitely take a huge toll. At this point, many of the forwards and big guys get off easy, as the Suns play a strict perimeter game that allows these guys to cheat and go strictly for rebounds. They won't have that luxury anymore.

That was great and like I said Amare is gonna flourish playing power forward. He was already a 1st team ALL NBA player and now this...
