List of Wizard Fans
Come on people, I know there's at least a few of you roaming this forum.
We've only got a couple so far, the fan base around here isn't too big.
Just post and tell me if you want me to add your name to the list.

And how far can we get in case they do?

PLEASE BE ACTIVE AND POST ON THE FORUMS, WE NEED MORE WIZARD FANS!
And Arenas is starting to practice any day now. He isn't in a huge rush to get back and doesn't want to mess up his knee anymore. He'll probably be back in 3 weeks.
As for Butler... He "PARTIALLY" tore a lambrum muscle. Not sure when he's coming back, though. Shouldn't be horribly long. I think if we can get everyone healthy, we may make it to the 2nd round. With Gil, Jamison, and Butler on the floor together, we should be able to dominate the weak Eastern Conference.

Re: List of Wizard Fans
Great... I was afraid Caron's injury was more serious!
Ok this said, I was wondering, how does a "fanbase" come to place there in the US? I mean is it just a geographical thing... Like "I am from Washington, I support Wizards / I am from Dallas, I support the Mavs" and so on?
Or are there also fans from other places who support a team for other reasons - a fascination for a particular player, for the colours of the franchise, for its history?

I'm from Illinois -- And for me, I'd hate to be a Bulls fan.
I'm a Wizard and Kings fan. I started to like the Wiz about a year ago because I seem to like high scoring teams that aren't the greatest on defense.
I guess when Allen Iverson got traded, a lot of Sixer fans became Nuggets fans.

I'm grew up watching the Bullets and so it was easy to root for them. Also it was instilled in me from a pretty early age to root for area teams. The area thing kind of depends on the team. When I was a kid, I was one of the few Bullets fans that I knew of (most everyone rooted for the Bulls and before that the Lakers). The Bullets were a bit different than say, the Redskins, where it's almost expected of you to root for them if you grew up around here.
Oh, and Arenas has been cleared to practice/play, it's just a matter of when he feels comfortable to get back on the court. They have three games this week, so we'll see what happens.

Holla at ya boy. I am a new found Wizards fan!!! My boy put me on the Wizards and Gilbert Arenas, and I am offically a fan. They are a very exciting team and Arenas is one of the best players. Also, I remeber back in the day MJ playing on the Wizards, was a great time. 40 year old Legend dropping 40 points in games.
