Replay showed that Kobe got absolutely no ball on the steal. None. Zero. He hit Pierce's arm and ribs. Whether it should have been called is a different story. I'm split. On one hand it's a foul, but with everything else they let go it's tough to call that. Still, Kobe saying "I was able to get my hand on the ball" ranks way up there on the deluded comment list.

even if he didn't touch the ball, coming out and saying "i got lucky, i really fouled him" ...i think that would be foolish. the refs didn't blow the whistle, therefore he stole the ball as far as he's concerned.

Im sorry, maybe Im going blind, but Kobe didn't touch that ball. When he reached around he may have tickled Pierce, may have given him a titty twister, maybe even touched the Pierce family jewels... but he didn't touch that basketball.

I don't think Kobe touched the ball either. I think Pierce fumbled the ball as a result of knowing Kobe was about to swoop around.

I'd bet the OP is a fan of a soft team that regularly complains and expects to get calls like that.
