i cannot emotionally be the moderator of the new okc team which i would name:

OKC RAIDERS

i am sure that there are plenty of folks from that state would would love to be the moderator for their new team

I'd like to see it remain, or at the very least archived. The sonics forum shouldn't transform into the OKC forum. Similar to the proceedings in real life, a new forum should be created. The history should remain with the Sonics. It may not be practical to maintain this forum as an active one, but it should be archived. There's a good bit of solid content here. However, it isn't my call, and there are sentimental motives behind my suggestion.

as a new poster here i would really like to see the sonics forum stay here. because i know someday there will be a new seattle supersonics team in seattle. seattle is a great place for sports teams and its sad to see the nba not exist there for awhile. keep cheering for the wnba team guys and girls show you guys want the nba back there someday. maybe a billionaire will build a stadium there for you guys.

ISH is about fans, not corporate interests. If guys on ISH want to call a team the Raiders of the Punks, it just happens. If the fans on this forum want to keep this forum, you should keep it.

Suggestion to MODS by a visitor.

1) Take leadership

2) Get ISH to open the new OKC forum, ASAP

3a) Keep this entire forum history as a Permanant sticky inside the new forum.

3b) OR... Keep this entire forum history as a Permanant sticky inside a new forum. (New markets /future NBA teams) something like that.

4) Then host a Grand Opening Party, invite all of ISH, explain what you have done, etc.


Lastly, Both Vancouver and Seattle losing their franchises was bad for the NBA. Share the pain! I really see these as big mistakes by Stern, swapping good markets for smaller markets.
