the dad thing is fine, but your seriously gonna tatoo your kids names on your chest? thats just awful and stupid. letters/words look awful tatood on people's chest. its not like its gonna make you love your kids more. its not going to look good, and there is really no other benefit to it. do you need other people to know that you love your kids when your lounging at the pool? come on dude.

Well tattoo's are symbolic interpretations of what you value in your life, at least thats what they mean to me.

I like tats, in fact I'm seriously thinking of getting one, but the gf's name really doesn't sounds like a good idea. I have yet to meet a person that has done that and feels comfortable about it years later.

I was just about to post in V-Unit's thread. NEVER get a girl's name anywhere on your body. Like Jay said the following people are good tattoo ideas:

1. dead familiy members
2. permanent family members (blood)
3. your children when you have them

I got one tattoo on my wrist, it's dedicated to my father who died in 1999.
It says "Hi Dad" with an angel above the lettering. It's very small tattoo.
I will also get a tattoo on my chest for my kids, I will put their names.

I think that's all I will be getting...

Edit: For some reason, I've always found Yakuza girls to be the epitome of tattoo sexiness.

I don't think that's a yakuza girl (not a real one anyway). I think its just a hot Asian girl with tats. But damn I like it. 1 little tat on the tit looks great.

I'd have more respect for a chick with full on tattoos than the typical ones like the lower back/shoulder blade/hip areas. Tattoos on girls, and even guys, have become a very cliche thing to do. It seems like a lot of chicks do it because of a fashion trend. Why else would they get similar ones in similar areas?

Sometimes it looks good on them, but only small tattoos I think. Like one on the bottom of their back or a little one on their stomach, but big obvious ones don't look so good I think.

Oh, and DO NOT get a tattoo with your ladies name on it, as much as you love them now, it could all go belly up with her and you look like a tool everytime a girl asks you in bed, 'whos ..... tatted on your chest?'
