Best quote i've seen so far is that the clippers have the best set of twin towers in the league.

So much hate for Camby, don't understand why.

Kaman is the natural centre out of the two, Camby can def. play PF and from memory he played PF in his early years.

Great trade for the Clippers (Denver must have something up their sleeve), Kaman and Camby will be beasts on the boards, and swatting shots left, right & centre!

To think Denver preferred to keep Kenyon Martin & Nene over Camby, don't think so, just proves that Martin & Nene have no trade value due to their injuries!

This trade really opens the offense up to the naturalized German, Chris Kaman, while Camby will not only have another big man to have his back, but give the ability and freedom to roam around the key and cause havoc!

    Beast of a trade!

    Camby(Kaman)/Jordan
    J. Smith/T. Thomas/Fazekas
    Thornton/Ross or Marcus Williams
    Mobley/E. Gordon
    B. Diddy/Knight
    th is a shot blocker

Good trade for Denver...Camby doesn't have an insane contract, and it only lasts 2 years. Im just happy they didn't get Randolph.

Now, hopefully they can make a move or two following this whether that involves trading camby or getting some other quality pieces.

Nuggets paving way for Nene to start at the 5. They had to make this move because they have a ton of money invested in the frontcourt, and obviously Nene is 24 while Camby is coming up on 35, so no brainer as to who gets moved. They get a massive trade exception to possibily make a deal at the deadline...

    I'm being dead serious now.

Someone explain to me how the Nuggets benefit by trading the best rebounder in basketball who has a reasonable contract for nothing.

Is there something I'm not aware of? I"m lost......

so it looks like the clippers are nor planning on using baron's strongest atributes to their best advantage..
why would they slow down the front court even more after spending all the money on davis...
the trade is certainly wort hit for what they paid just doesn't seem to fit in with what they had going or seemed to be headed towards

Sounds like a great trade for the Clips! They basically got Camby for nothing. How does this affect thier salary cap though? Do they still have enough space to make a run at a big name FA?

    $$$$$$

If the owner wants to cut cost, they'll cut cost.

-They're were were paxing tax for a team they got swept in the first round. Some cost cutting was obviously going to occur

-They had a ton of money invested in the 4/5 spots.

    - Nobody in this world is taking on Kenyon Martin's deal

    - Nene is the future, Camby is 34 years old....

    Just a few reasons there...

Camby expires in 2010, along with T2 and Mobley and gives us 7.5 mil more to waste around, plus, with his contract being around 8 mil, we still have enough to try to chase JR Smith[we have about 6 mil now considering Jordan and Taylor]. If not JR, Barnes/Gomes/Smith[Craig] can be solid additions as well.

Doesn't Camby have about 10 mil on his contract, not 8 mil?

We don't have our MLE but we have around that amount to spend.

********* has it as 8 mil, but from what I know, he does have incentives in his contract to pay him more[such as playing an X amount of games or something along those lines].
