both were past their primes when they came up against mike, and he pretty much let them have it. the celts beat him up though and beat his teams regularly.

for those too lazy to check the links, it's 34+ pts on over 50% shooting against both of them.

Those stats with Sid/MJ don't really tell the whole story. In 87, he already started to have injury problems. But in 85, he was still all nba first team over rookie MJ and all nba the next season (though Jordan was injured).

yeah, i'm not trying to run down sid. just saying that he didn't really present much of a problem to mj. and like i said, he and dj were both past their primes.
