I don't get picked last at the park anymore
Cavs expected to sign Wiggins this week
Via B Windhorst.
Bluff or nah? who knows if they truly even are offering him for Love. Can't wait to see how this plays out.
If they really did offer Wiggins and Minnesota playing hard to get i hope it bites them in the ass and they get a shitty deal/ klove leaves for nothing

Re: Cavs expected to sign Wiggins this week
They can't trade him for 30 days after signing him so this is significant...

Me too. Curse the Wolves for trying to get something for Love!

Can't they just make a trade in principle, sign him, and let him play out with Minny? Then once 30 days hits make the trade offical ?

It's a smart move for Cleveland to keep Wiggins.
At the end of the day, Kevin Love holds all of the leverage.
He can just say, I will not sign a long term deal with any other team other than Cleveland.
If Cleveland refuses to trade Andrew Wiggins, then Flip Saunders will have to accept another trade with the Cavs revolving around other pieces, or he will lose Love for nothing.

Or Minny can take a better deal from somewhere else that may be willing to take the chance, and take Love without the extension.

So it looks like they don't want to win a title in the foreseeable future...

I would love to believe that this is a sign that the Cavs aren't trading him, but that is unfortunately not true. The Cavs were always going to get him signed before any trade was approved so that he'll count in the salary exchange.
This changes nothing in respect to the Love trade other than having to wait 30 days to make it official.
