i think usc surprised me the most. i did not see them closing as well as they did. sark and his assistants just killed it. got a dynamic athlete that you can move all over the field, a top safety and top OG. also just built up their o-line in general. not bad for a first year coach w/ sanctions in place. get ready, pac-12. it pains me to say that cuz i'm a trojans hater

disappointment of the day goes to v-tech. i know beamer's always been able to overachieve given the talent but it's time to say he's officially over the hill. a couple 5* recruits from virginia hardly looked their way. they lost another major recruit that was verbally committed to them to fsu. lane stadium is a fun place to play. i think the ACC is better when v-tech is on the up and up. it used to be a place teams just feared playing at night. now it's lost all its luster and they've recruited a #25 team at best? you have completely fallen off the map. not even remotely scary in defense. blacksburg needs some changes.

other disappointment has to be michigan. holy hell, you guys aren't even competing in your conference. i can understand not recruiting well in your own state, but your whole got damn conference? mcdowell could have been the feather in your cap but he went to michigan state, strange LOI and all. meyer and ohio state is bending you over deep. like fvck, i know meyer is a good recruiter but just wtf are you doing? at least try. i don't want to see ohio state get blown out in a NCG again real soon

i think a major reason why ohio state is ranked #3 at some sites is cuz they just fleeced that whole area since apparently everyone else was asleep. of course, they always have a chance to go undefeated in that conference.

fvck ohio state
fvck the trojans
fvck notre dame
fvck the canes
fvck the gators (oh shit, ermon and cook on our side? we already done fvcked you)

FSU QB Jameis Winston received a citation for shoplifting crab legs from a Grocery store and has been suspended from the FSU baseball team.

Unfortunately we must now officially put Mr. Winston in the "stupid" category. And don't they get unlimited food free now anyway? He needs to go pro asap before he gets himself into any more trouble.

but in all seriousness, jimbo needs to suspend him a game. i don't know why he keeps getting into petty trouble like this. it's like the kid can't be left alone without doing something stupid.

Not a fan of Winston. Jus comes off as a dumb jock entitled stereotype that plagues amateur athletics, fuel for the cynics type.

Not saying a dude has to 'break the mold' to be an athlete to enjoy but he honestly just comes off as an ignant dumb dumb so he bores me off the field. We'll see in about 18 months or so time what he can do at the pro level.

College superstars can fade quickly and become irrelevant. Just ask Vince Young.

so the latest walter mock draft has 9 noles going in the first two rounds. dat talent...this is coming after 7 noles were drafted just this year. in 2012, 11 noles were drafted, which is what made this championship team so special. by all accounts, we were supposed to be a 'year away'. we're about to go on a 3 year run of drafted players that will set records.

the next closest school is stanford with 6.

bama - 3
georgia - 3
oregon - 3
usc - 3

with the best CB tandem in the nation and arguably the best o-line, how mad will you guys be when fsu repeats? darkhorse heisman candidate: karlos williams

los, cook and trey williams recently ran a 100 yard race. incoming freshman cook won (the guy fsu stole from uf). los was second and williams was third. scary when you consider williams clocked in at a 4.38 40 at one point. also, none of those guys are faster than whitfield on the track. i can possibly say fsu has 4-9 guys that run sub 4.4 40's. i wanna throw darby in the mix there on defense. greene can probably do it on his very best days.

seen los be compared to demarco murray which makes sense. both are about the same height/weight and have burst. los might even be faster but he's still adjusting to RB. i also think demarco runs a more upright style which leads to more injuries.

any predictions on the playoffs?

in no real particular order:

- bama
- fsu
- ohio state
- oregon

i almost wanted to take ucla over oregon. i think they can take a huge step forward, especially hundley. also don't think you can sleep on stanford.

i was really for the 4 team playoff system but i'm really leaning towards 8 now. it would obviously stretch out the season more but i just don't trust 13 humans to decidedly pick the best 4 teams. i think that '5th' team could be snubbed and possibly look better than the eventual champ. this was supposed to be the system that was less controversial and more fair. i guess we'll see.

my ideal scenario would really be for fsu to beat bama in the first round. i gave the storyline before. jimbo used to coach under saban and has obvious ties/influences. winston is from bama. i mean, this would be the student showing the teacher what's up. then just destroy urban meyer's smug ass in the championship game, forcing him into a second early retirement that makes no sense. first off, i don't like ohio state. second, i don't like meyer. i'd die happy if those two things happen. wire to wire back to back champs and knocking off the SEC twice, bama once and urban meyer?

45 DAYS

chris davis still salty. this is the guy who was called for PI in the endzone against greene and defended KB in the game winning catch. sit down fool.

maybe being on the cover of SI got to his head?

^top 100 players in college. hard to find quality lists like this. while i disagree w/ some of these rankings, this guy definitely did him homework. 10 noles in there btw w/ o'leary as #101.

what a dead ass thread. no one can bitch about me posting a lot when i'm the only one really posting.

this is only my 7th post ITT in 5 months so....

every starter from the '12 fsu defense is on an nfl team

checking out some gator blogs and FNL was considered a disappointment overall. cowart and campbell didn't even go. contrast that to #1 recruit sweat going to fisher's camp even though he was not leaning towards fsu in any way. looks like that is starting to shift a bit, especially with davis heavily favoring fsu at this point.

Probably because it's time to make a new 2014 thread.

A&M looks disappointing this year with every bloody player going to jail or getting caught with drugs.
