Top 5
1. Minnesota Timberwolves- Derrick Rose, PG, Memphis
2. Seattle Supersonics- DeAndre Jordan, C, Texas A&M
3. Miami Heat- Michael Beasley, SF/PF, Kansas State
4. Philadelphia 76ers- O.J. Mayo, SG/PG, USC
5. Memphis Grizzlies- Eric Gordon, SG, Indiana

Pretty hard to make picks right now. Jordan might be a reach, Beasley's got character issues, I'd rather the 76ers take Arthur of Kansas, but that'd probably be a BIG reach. Maybe even Kevin Love? Probably not ready for the NBA yet, though. For Memphis, it's tough to pick for them. I think Hibbert would be a reach, and I think they need a star scoring option. Gordon can give them that. But what to do with Gay, Conley, Carlos Navarro, and Mike Miller? Quite a deep group that is. Conley could start at the 1, and maybe Navarro at the 2, but eventually Gordon would have to start. Maybe they do take the reach on Hibbert, or possibly that Koufos kid from OSU?

Kevin Durant and Jeff Green will never win a championship without a solid big. Fact. Chris Wilcox is not a championship-go-to-Big man. Also a fact. Jordan's tall and has potential. Hibbert may be a better fit, but he has less potential and would be a major major reach.

The great think about a deep draft is that on paper there should be lots of trades. The Sonics could trade someone like Beasley for Jordan and another piece if they like Jordan better. Someone will naturally be in love with Beasley or Rose or Mayo and be willing to deal up. Meanwhile, you will have teams that love Jordan, Love, Griffin, or Bayless and would find it a bonus to trade down to get their man and another player or cash or pick or whatever.

And just to add in my two cents, I think Love will end up going higher than most people think. Someone will view him a player despite the obvious "combine" downfalls. They will take a shot and hope to get a starting PF that will provide the inside toughness a lot of teams need.
