And the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained. “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

Universities full of left. Political power in charge is still 'right' (Republicans equivalent for the U.S) but it's weird. It's like the left that controls the U.S controls us now. To be clear, the right control the Federal level but the states/territories are divided between left and right - which has caused further divide during co$id.

Covid lockdowns over 1 case (see WA)
Rescue dogs executed by animal shelter to prevent people breaking lockdowns to adopt them.(see Bourke NSW)

Then you have inconsistencies like Nicole Kidman being allowed to fly from Sydney (locked down about two months already) to Hong Kong to film a show - without quarantine.
Can't have funerals but government just had LGBT whatever nonsense party in person.
Can't question government policies as majority support it. Propaganda ads everywhere.

Worst nightmare. Not the country I was raised in.

Also, Australians can have guns but there are laws and checks in place. I was in an Inuit village last week , population 59 families. 270 miles away from Anchorage and 40 miles from closest village.
They had a CVD19 case.
How did it happen , someone flew in and gave it to someone.
Many states as well as countries are far worse off than we are in the US.
