People forget. Cuz of the 1984 Draft and Sam Boyie bust, There was lot of bad blood between Bulls, Rockets and Blazers. and this did not go away easily.
in 1985 itself, #1 Hakeem was suppose to beat #3 MJ for ROY comfortably. It was really 7'0" vs 6'6" challenge. Hakeem also had twin tower Ralph to help out.
what really helped out 1985 MJ was that 1984 Olympics. This is where Knight indicated over and over that at 21, MJ has PEAKED!. beating NBA allstars. 1984 Hakeem missed out because of US citizenship I guess. Should've played for 1984 Nigerian team imo. if they made it. not sure.
Rumor had it 1985 itself, rookie Hakeem "stocks" were padded at home seeing rookie MJ taking NBA by storm. Expectations were, #1 Hakeem will finish over #3 for ROY honors.
1985 "stocks" keepers helped Rookie Hakeem out and Ralph got punished. for 82 games, Hakeem ended up with 12 RPG over Sampsons 10 RPG. Ralph even complained. inside scooop was, rookie MJ bulls so week, he is up to 6.5 RPG at 6'6" with 6 APG, he was surely gonna eat into rookie Hakeem ROY votes because of Ralph's help in front court.
^^^^ this... Lebron had 120% home inflation of blocks in his rookie year and 73% in his 2nd year, while MJ, Hakeem, AD or Jaren Jackson saw 50-80% higher stocks in one-off seasons.. Everyone in history had one-offs of massive home inflation, while the normal inflation for every other year of a player's career has been decreasing over time as road records and conditions steadily improved
And these unbelievable videos from Uncut Hoops uncover Haberstro's fraud - if anyone works for MJ, it's this guy

So basically your answers are at the acceptance phase. "But other guys did it too!". Show me other guys getting steals from 24 second violations and we've got a discussion. Otherwise it jist looks bad. I want to see the primary defender stats myself now because that's disgusting. They are basically saying the in his dpoy season the average game against him not considering talent level is 20ppg on 50% wow.

case is closed right about here!
1988 Eaton
9th = dbpm
4th = dws
12th=drtg
1st = tm drtg
5th = tm oppg
1988 MJ
1st = dbpm
2nd =dws
4th = drtg
3rd = tm drtg
1st = tm oppg
The gap is too large. MJ aint losing 1988 dpoy to Eaton no matter how hard they gang up against him.

It's strange you didn't compare Akeem instead , we all know the reason(s) and why you cite team def rating and oppg when a guard has a miniscule impact on those metrics vs. the individual defensive metrics? Oh, because MJ's are fake!

eff off porki
1988 Eaton is DPOY Runner- up in voting. screw Akeem.
I give you 3000 200 100 you still run off sucking some shyte coop bench warmer prick sayin' that win is legit.
I give you 250+ and 125+, you still run off sucking LBJs microscopic PEDs shrunk prick.
I owned your rear end in 2013 Gasol vs 2013 LBJ comparison. 2013 LBJ aint capable being steals champ or be in atleast Top 10 Steals. Even 2013 iggy beat him to that 10th spot.
You keep sayin' your boy is MJ and LBJ both. You just a fake, cheap cvnt who deep down despise NBA today sucks and cant accept the fact.
So, now there is a "reaction formation' in your mind which is actually a psych issue. All this "we done with 90s, we done with 80s" crap pops-up.

Magic was a 2 time steals champ. Curry won a steals title. Iverson won 3, great defensive company lol. You're destroying your own argument with every post.
Is it really that hard to believe one can be a fan of both guys? That's insane. The main reason I defend Lebron here is because they have never been judged using the same standards, it's long term bs and also the reason they've been giving Mj so much grief, you guys have been begging for it. Any how back to Akeem, put some respect on the dreams name sucka:

You retarded fk!
go watch MJs 1983, 1984 NCAA games how great of a Defensive Player he was.
MJ literally won NCAA games on Defense alone. He was an "elite" defender from the get go!.
3 Steals Title is just an after thought for MJ. Even You know 9 all D 1st team that should've been more. I dont even bother mentioning.
You may not like his style of gambling, risk taking defense. thats fine. But there are time, coaches (Dean, Phil) asked him to literaly "shutdown" quick guard. He did that. doesn't show up in stats. Go watch MJs defense on Zeke. Dumars at time. When Pip sucked.
btw, Morons like you dont have an Eye test. Do you know what kind of energy is required to lead NBA in steals after leading NBA in points and also be the best Short Blocking Guard in NBA History. And still score 35 ppg, 37 ppg, 32.5ppg at 53%FG. chucking shots like AI at 40%FG is easy.
MJ's defense is beyond stats kid. Top 3 Perimeter defenders ever in NBA history. And top 5 Defensive player in NBA history.
nothing changing that. Reason, he wins games on his own literally. It is not all offense. 40% is MJ defense. I mean from his rookie year itself.
No guard is even close. none.

I find it quite effective actually.. gets the point across right away without a lot of fluff
Again, everyone in history has one-offs of massive home inflation, while the normal inflation that occurs in every other year of a player's career has been decreasing over time as road records/conditions improved.
I don't know why Lebron's rookie blocks were inflated 120% and 73% as a sophomore - but every player has one-offs of massive inflation like this that could be due to personal issues that affect home/road performance... Otherwise, the normal home inflation that everyone experiences has been decreasing over time as road records/conditions improved.

None of that has anything to do with his case over Akeem in 88. Nice try though. Here's the issue, everyone thinks Mj is a great defender, however we see evidence that some of his numbers maybe be overstated. Both things can be true ya know. I'm not certain your ****-eyed test is one I'd trust anyway.

You're still in timeout until you can explain to.me how a 24 second violation results in a Jordan steal in the box score.
