looking at pictures and schematics of the event, it's laughable this guy got on what is pretty much the only roof in the area and popped shots off with no authorities noticing.

the amount of videos surfacing of people yelling at police and secret service that there is a dude on the roof with a rifle.. and getting ignored.

One that's plausible is political activism: 2022 was his first chance to vote and he decided to try and save democracy, by joining redditors and others in getting Trump out by voting for Haley in the closed primaries.

Another possibility is that he was planning this for a long time, having to join Republican/Trump events to scope out security and venues.
