If anyone's the "next Jordan," it's SGA. Not Edwards.

SGA lacks the physical strength and Jordan's explosive athleticism, while Ant lacks the polish, refinement and skill that SGA and MJ have.
Btw, SGA is also a high-scoring ball-dominator, so he has high volume of unassisted buckets that leave teammates standing around in spot-up roles... So his brand of ball will always struggle to avoid underachieving favored talent.. Historically, secondary producers like Chet haven't been enough for high-scoring ball-dominators to win... Franchise players at 2nd and 3rd option are needed, and yet the weak chemistry will still mostly lose.
And I know SGA is Canadian, so this doesn't apply to him, but USA's hands-off, spaced-out, open-paint beginner format doesn't produce the best players anymore, so we have to look internationally for the top players.

I hate you a lot but agreed here. Younger Jordan was like if you combined Ant and SGA into one player. It’s a scary thought.

Complete Summary of the Fraud for the Layman
By opting for teams with 3 franchise players, Lebron never learned the chemistry required to win with normal rosters of 1 franchise player like Curry, Jokic, and MJ did.. They learned elite chemistry and how to win, while he learned how to team-hop and talent-based winning (all-star team strategy)... So that's the fraud - a so-called goat candidate never learned how to win and develop chemistry, so he waltzes around the league with a talent-based approach and all-star team strategy.. The absence of a chemistry objective causes the players and media to blame all losses on needing more help/talent (talent-based winning).
Furthermore, Lebron descended into talent-based winning because his skillset can't produce great chemistry... Specifically, high-scoring dribblers, or any high-scoring ball-dominant style has a high volume of unassisted buckets that leaves teammates standing around in spot-up roles - this yields weak teammate development, chemistry and perennial losers with every cast.. The spot-up roles also lower teammate assists across the board, so the team cannot become a high assist team like the teams that beat Lebron (Nuggets, Spurs, Warriors, Mavs, Magic).. The common thread in all of Lebron's playoff losses for the last 10 years is deficits in team assists.
It matters that high-scoring ball-dominators have a weak brand of ball and chemistry because it underachieves favored talent more than any other skillset.. Specific examples of underachieving favored rosters include Lebron having the most losses ever with the preseason favorite and in the Finals, while also having more losses with homecourt, all-star teammates and top seeds than Kobe, Curry or Jordan.. And more 4-0 sweeps/record losses as well.
In contrast to the perennial losers produced by Lebron or Luka's high volume of unassisted buckets (low-assisted ball-domination), jumpshooters or bigs have high assisted rates, so they produce great ball movement, chemistry and all the "dynasties" that mostly won over a material stretch of 5+ years (Russell, Kareem, MJ, Duncan, Curry, Kobe/Shaq).
Finally, unlike expert jumpshooters such as Curry or MJ, Lebron can't score 40 while the ball moves, so he lacks sufficient brand at carry-job volume to beat top teams and therefore needs all-time scoring help.. Specifically, he never carried weak help over top teams (never beat a top 5 SRS team with weak scoring & efficiency from a sidekick), and he also needed equal-scoring partners to attract equal defensive attention, so he never defeated max defensive attention (never carried scoring load in Finals).. Lebron's inability to carry the scoring load requires more help, such as 3rd options that are better than Pau or Klay... So it's clear that Lebron's weaker brand and chemistry not only prevents great teams, but it prevents carrying the scoring load to win with less as well - these are clear cut reasons why Kobe, Curry and of course Jordan are better than Lebron (their skillsets produce better chemistry to produce better teams and win with less).

But really though, Shai isn’t that ball dominant guy. He was a couple years ago when the team was shitty but now? Nah.
OKC is filled with athletic ball-handlers, defenders, and shooters. Most of his long possession holds are moments when the game slows down and the team just needs a bucket and he’ll deliver it like 90% of the time. They’re pretty fun to watch.

Euros rule NBA, UMAD?
Re: Jordan vs "Next Jordan" at 23 years old
Yes, young Michael Jordan is better than young Anthony Edwards. This didn't warrant a thread( like 99% of what OP posts). What's hilarious is the most in-depth post from OP is (are you surprised) about Lebron.

Jordan had 50% greater burden due to scoring 36% of team points to 24% for Ant, plus 25% more assists, 2 times the steals and 3 times the blocks.
so Jordan faced far greater defensive attention, yet he still shot nearly the same true shooting as Ant, while producing far greater points per possession or ortg (117 to 111), due to the superior combination of production and efficiency
Btw, a lot of people don't realize that the Bulls' front office was pleasantly surprised that Jordan returned from his injury in the 86' Playoffs in GOAT form... This allowed them to clean house in the off-season by getting rid of the #1 and 2 options during Jordan's injury year (Woolridge, Gervin) and re-build from scratch around Jordan.. This meant that Jordan entered his prime in 87' with a worse cast than he had during his rookie year in 85'.

.. The eye test and stats say otherwise..
Shai is one of the most ball-dominant players in the league with a 20% assisted rate at 28 ppg, so he has the aforementioned high volume of unassisted buckets that leave teammates standing around (spot-up roles).
Again, high-scoring point guard styles like SGA, Luka, Lebron and Harden impose spot-up roles and weak chemistry, so they underachieve a roster's talent and need more help.. Underachieving roster talent is shown by Lebron losing the most ever with preseason favorites and in the Finals, or bevies of losses with all-star teammates, top seeds and homecourt.
Accordingly, guys like SGA and Luka will follow this trend and path that Lebron set... They will need super-team help, but still mostly lose because they have weak chemistry and spot-up roles with every cast.
