Right now, or in general? Most people seem to have Luka as a top 3-4 player at worst, unless I'm reading different forums from you. Also, I said Jokic and Giannis are the unquestioned top 2, which doesn't really say he's the 'same level' as them. The main inference you can make from the statement is that the two best players are Jokic and Giannis, and Luka would be at best third.

He's a great player but I think he has enough glaring flaws that you can argue a handful of guys besides Jokic and Giannis as better than him atp.

I would say he is at least a good prospect as LeBron and arguably better but it’s impossible to predict and unreasonable to assume anyone would have as long and healthy a career as LeBron. He could easily be as effective as LeBron ever was, but knowing what we do about LeBron’s longevity, he might not be the choice to build around.

In reality, once you get past Jokic there really aren't clear-cut top 5 or even top 10. You have like 7-8 guys who really are top 5 level players, and like 13-14 players who could be top 10. The fact that there hasn't been a dominant champion since the Warriors also makes it more difficult. When you had Jordan in the 90s, Shaq in the early 2000s, or Lebron in the early 2010s them being the unquestioned best player also lined up with them being on the best team at the time winning multiple chips. It's less clear now when there's been a different champion the last 5 years. Everyone was ready to crown this the Jokic era back in 2023 but then he gets bounced by ANT the next year. And despite the dominance of the Celtics, Tatum isn't generally considered a top 5 player overall. The amount of talent vying for their place at the top is pretty crazy right now, there's alot more parity now.

LeBron was the most hyped, best prospect of this century.

Wemby is the most UNIQUE prospect, but there's no question who the best, most hyped was.

I think Giannis is pretty indisputably a top 5 player, I'd say Luka too but I understand he hasn't quite been at that level so far this year.

Zion received massive hype when he came in as well, as an honorable mention, but he simply can't stay healthy.

LeBron was more hyped, but Wemby actually has the potential to be better, which is shocking. Wemby's ceiling is GOAT. Which many of you have LeBron as but I meant his ceiling is even over that. No one paying attention will be shocked if Wemby averages 30/12 on elite efficiency with GOAT tier defense one day and wins some rings as the best player.

Yes, I think Jokic and Giannis are the top 2 without much argument( I probably should have said once you get past Jokic and Giannis earlier). Or rather, they may be the only two that really have no business being off anyone's top 5 list. After them you could really argue for like 5 other guys in those three spots, and you start getting into the weeds.

The next 8 after Jokic and Giannis is probably (not in order) Wemby, SGA, Luka, Tatum, Curry, AD, Embiid (if healthy), and I guess KD. Would have said LeBron a little while ago but he's looking old.

24/10/3 with more turnovers than assists.

I can see why OP, after posting at midnight and 3:30 am, and other times in between with his 'post' alt, rushed to make this thread at 9 am the moment he woke up from his daily three hour nap when he takes his only break from ISH, including holidays and weekends.

With numbers like that, who could argue against V Dub being ready to be proclaimed the future GOAT.

I think that's basically the same as my list on page 1. Lebron just in terms of +/- is a negative, so right now 'benefit of doubt' fairly shouldn't apply to him over guys who are also putting up numbers but also a positive. He may have 10 games this year where he looks like he did at 30, but the other 72 is too far a cry from that to rank him top 10.

Thinking people who proclaimed him the future GOAT after the third game of his career are ugly defective reterds is not hating on Wembanyama at all. It's hating on YOU.
