Larry David writes an op-ed in NYT harshly criticizing Bill Maher's dinner with Trump

My Thoughts:
- If Trump is Hitler, what does that make his CYE co-star Cheryl Hines? She's married to RFK who's in Trump's cabinet. Is he saying that Cheryl Hines is a nazi too? Yikes.
- I predict this will be what pushes Bill Maher completely over to the other side. He won't admit so right away because he has to preserve his reputation and it would look too obvious, but mark my words by 2028 Maher will come out as MAGA or he will be backing the MAGA candidate in the election.

Maher has been an idiot for years now, he fits right in with MAGA

pretty trash writing, tbh. Why do these people continue to debase themselves on account of Trump?
You know, if someone came out with some actually good Trump satire (and this should be known by the Trump impersonators that have had success by not being one dimensional memes,) it could be a best seller and would probably win a prize. Yet, nobody can muster more than this sort of trash.
Sad I skimmed.

I can see where Larry is coming from here. Maher is a left leaning liberal, who is making Trump a "buddy". In his eyes Mahar is "sleeping with the enemy".
Honestly it's a unique situation. Maher plead for everyone to vote Kamala, and he would still vote Kamala today, but at the same time he's laughing it up with Trump on the premise of "yeah these libs can be crazy sometimes".
I do appreciate Mahar calling out the left when it needs to be done, however, in this situation? Trump already won the Presidency, there is no point to it now. I think at this point Mahar is just trying to make waves in the name of publicity.

So dumb...
I guess one cant be friends with individuals who share a difference of political opinion. Such a juvenile line of thought.

Do you have a lot of liberal friends?
Serious question, not trying to dig at you. I agree that it's fine to have friends that have differing political opinions, in fact if you have a decent amount of friends it is probably inevitable.
Would you have a friendly dinner with Kamala Harris?

Projecting by asking a legit question?
I am now thinking that you do not understand what projecting means. Projecting is accusing someone of something because you yourself are guilty. You are "projecting" your own flaws onto them. This is where you say "thanks captain obvious low-iq" or something like that but the post you quoted is not one that "projects" anything at all so the obvious is in question with you. Or you're just high on drugs, that is possible.

this question goes far beyond political boundaries. i wouldn't be caught dead with that woman. i'd probably say something to her in the midst of our dinner conversation, she'd cackle at something that wasn't even funny and i'd have to choke the life out of her without hesitation. i'd be obligated for the sake of the human race to do so.

Your iq is so low it’s impossible to communicate with you.

Kamala's a poor example because she genuinely has zero charisma and seems like she'd likely be awkward to socialize with. Obama's a better example, Republicans really disliked him but I bet the majority would enjoy having dinner or a beer with him.
