I agree, Trump is far from dumb, but if you heard him speak in the 80's-90's compared to now you could see he obviously isn't as sharp as he once was. Although at 78, to have the energy he has is pretty remarkable.

There are several key reasons that Trump was voted in. Part of it is definitely an intelligence issue and the landscape changing due to social media. Another part is an issue with the average American being spoiled, and a lack of legitimate issues. And then yes, the last part was a failure of the Dems, Biden being too old to continue, and Kamala being a forced replacement.

Wokeness was a major player in the election and not only are 99% of woke issues completely meaningless, but the US Government has nothing to do with wokeness. Wokeness is a facet of society, not a facet of who is POTUS. We had people voting based around the idea that illegals would eat their dog unless Trump is in office.
