Lol Columbus did not stumble upon some perfect utopia. The brown people that were native to this land were slaughtering each other and stealing each other's land just the same. The europeans were simply smarter and more advanced and were better at killing. Maybe you should understand actual history instead of soaking up Disney movies.

Seeing as America is the most free and prosperous nation in the history of this planet, it is safe to say that if you cannot find happiness living in modern day America then you would not have found happiness at any point or anywhere throughout human history. People from around the world risk their lives coming here all so they can have access to the luxuries and privileges you were handed at birth.

America is your home. If you're not happy with your home, you are welcome to leave and find a better home. One where you won't feel so guilty about living there. I don't think you'll be able to find many countries that weren't built on violence or conquest though. If you can find this peaceful utopia where everyone is thriving and there is no history of war or conflict I would love for you to send me a postcard.

A park statue of Christopher Columbus was removed in 2020 due to woke protests and now the mayor is putting up a new statue and new art gallery in it's place to better reflect the "diversity" of Chicago.

I think you need to do more research on the Vikings primo. They were known for showing up stealth in long boats in the middle of the night and just murdering, pillaging, and raping coastal towns all over the world. That's because the Vikings discovered Greenland and thought it was a huge PoS. They did discover Iceland and a few did settle there, though.

I think Columbus's claim to fame is that his discovery of the Caribbeans lead to new cartography that lead more Europeans there which ultimately resulted in settling in America eventually. How much 'credit' you want to give him is pretty speculative though, because he was given ships by Spain to find new spice trade routes to the Indies and thought he had landed there when he saw the natives. Yikes, imagine being literally the other side of the fvcking planet in terms of being off, talk about failing up.
