Hard to compare Trump to anyone else because one of his main negatives is the social divide he has created and he was able to achieve that because of his bloated ego and taking to social media. Cheney was awful obviously, but he would have been a non-factor in the culture war and doesn't care to take to Twitter and has no Trumpian ego. Their both bad in different ways.

Cheney is basically just known for being a war criminal, and I will say that is probably worse than the US culture divide assuming we don't go into an actual civil war.

So if Cheney is worse than Trump, and he endorsed Harris, doesn't that mean you're on the worse side?

Trump rose to prominence in the primaries bashing the W administration and bashing the Bush family, so obviously they weren't that popular with voters or else Trump's strategy would have failed. The people had enough.

MAGA aren't the ones being hypocrites here. Not rage at them, not call them lunatics daily, not divide them even more, etc. Trump can't make an Easter tweet without making it about "far left lunatics". No other modern day POTUS has been like that. Was Obama calling you a dumb hick? No it would have turned you into more of an extremist.

Also blaming half the country for something isn't even feasible. "It's not Trump, half the country is just nuts!". If that many people feel a certain way there is something to it.
