They do have hilly terrain, but the Rockies are more north and E of the city, Dallas not so much, but it gets hot there too, but they get more rain.

    Thanks man.

And I saw this appropriate meme:

How do you feel about your home?
thats bc your friend didn't talk to the locals. sure, the history does not span back to the roman empire, but it has plenty of history that anchored the country's sovereignty and territory. there's a reason people still wear cowboy hats. the oil production in texas is a story in of itself. food, music, etc.

arizona is not too disimilar to texas i suppose, the wild west was a very interesting period of time and a lot of is still felt and seen in some areas of the state. it shaped the way law enforcement, local politics, business, etc is all done to this day.

ya'll need to get out more and ask questions. i love talking to old heads about the history of my state. indians/natives have their own stories too. do you know how difficult it was to go out west and settle in the middle of fcking nowhere just to seek a better life for your family? extremely fcking difficult. but there's a difference in societial/cultural mindset between americans and euros. you guys tend to be more comfortable since your people have been established for a long time. we built an entire country in 200 years or so. arizona didn't officially become a state until 1912...that's just slightly over a 100 years, of course people lived here well before that but it's still a fairly new state that now has 7 million people residing in it.

and i must say i love living here despite the heat. it's absolutely beautiful.

i personally have not, but the native indians have a lot of stories about that sort of stuff especially on the rez. i will say that being out in the middle of the desert at night can make you shit your pants.

Every time I start reading the title of this thread, I'm expecting it to say, "How do y'all feel about existence?" Every single time.

No but I just want calm and quiet in the middle of nowhere man long roads with snow in the winter, and nostalgic diners and motels.

i mean, denver or even better yet, utah you will get the scenery you're after, but you gotta be ok with being isolated from large cities or being a distance from them. i mean i get you, i wish i could live further away from the city and am considering even selling my house in phoenix to do so. but fck, having to drive to the city when you need something from a big box store like costco or home depot or an auto parts store would suck. i guess you can order things off amazon these days but there's a certain convivence factor you lose when you live in more remote areas.

    Interesting, thx.

Yea I might be underestimating the utter distance here.

My friend just told me more about his texas stay, he did a road trip after 1 month to see some national parks and it took him 2 days to get to one and he felt utterly lonely on the road lmao. There was nothing there.

But I kinda like that if a town isnt too far and I have a woman.

California could have the most dystopian government or whatever but it still is the most beautiful state in America.

I’ll take my Cali weather, ancient indigenous history, and chronic weed over any European crap.

I mean my ancestors literally traveled across Europe, across the Atlantic Ocean, and across America to settle here.

    California love for life.

    North south east and west
