So let's see..... Crawford has Hassell beat on scoring, rebounding , assists, 3 pt%, free throws, STEALS,. Crawford is a better player no doubt. Also take in mind if you understand that crawford plays more in the fourth quarter than he do for most of the other 3 quaters, then he is the real deal. Hassell is a good player though. But Crawford is better. By the way some of these numbers are down for crawford's career. These were LAST years stats.
though crawford isnt as good as Hassel on defense, crawford can score at will. And being on the Knicks, Crawford isnt really the number 1 option, they still have Starbury and Francis that dont like passing the ball...if Crawford was on a different team he would be much better
Ricky Davis is the timberwolves SG and is a lot better than Crawford, though somewhat similar...Ricky D is a way better defender than Crawford and equally clutch, streaky like crawford.
If I could pick between the two, I would take Hassle cos he isnt as overpaid as Crawf.
So you would pick a bench player who does virtually nothing on the court, versus one who can score, isn't afraid to take and make the game winner and has improved his defense?

Crawford is better individually but Hassel is the better team player.
Crawford is over paid in a long term deal, Hassel has a short deal and isnt over paid...
And anyway Ricky Davis is the one you should be comparing him too, and in that comparison crawford doesnt even come close. Yeah he improved his Defense, but it still sucks ok.
I cant wait for the season to start and the knicks to start sucking again so you and your other knick buddies can shut it.
