Vince is faster than you think in the 40 and its largely because a lot of people lie about their 40 times. VT is the most notable example of this. Ever VT player loses at least 2 tenths at the combine. Also, a LOT of nfl people questioned the USC pro day stats. Matt leinart vert jumped 38. That is the same thing as Devin Harris. Justice verted 37.
As for vince, he ran a 4.48 after just taking off his sweats and running once. That means if he ran it again he would probably run somewhere around a 4.4 flat and he has always said he runs a 4.42 so that makes sense. The thing about the game speed is that pads dont hurt him running which is why he has great game speed while some track guys cant run with pads.
But the reason they look so good in pre-season is simple. Cutler is playing with the team that should've won the superbowl last postseason, especially if Jake didn't suck. And a HOF coach IMO.
Leinart is playing with the best WR crew in the league and the Edge.
Vince has a team that has 0 expectations. They don't have a star WR or RB a bad line, and pretty much a terrible team. Still he hasn't exactly played bad, I think only has 1 interception in the preseason.
Vince's talents are gonna make him special.
Though, the other 2 are great prospects aswell.
Its sorta like a Roethlesberger and Eli thing. Eli's definately the better QB or will be, Ben simply went to a much better team. A team that runs rather than passes. And a dominate defense.
The Giants in Eli's first year were terrible, they got better next year and he led them to the playoffs.
You're wright Leinart is the best of the bunch... YEAH WRIGTH. Are you out of you're mind, you make me sick. Have you seen Vince play? Yeah i tought so. Cutler can be pretty good but come on.
1)Leinart- this kid got screwed when he fell to ten. hes a great player, smart player, right attitude, and clearly has enough arm strength to succeed in the NFL. dunno what happened on draft day. jets threw up a brick when they passed on him at 4. will play in multiple pro bowls
2)Cutler- leinart beats him by the slimmest of margins. this kid is going to be good. excellent prospest. brings that gunslinger mentality, but is not reckless. multiple pro bowls are in his future.
3)Young. went first, but is the worst prospect of the three. big question mark as an NFL quarterback. not all that impressed.
DBrick is gonna be a beast, as good as Leinhart is, I think the Jets the right choice. I think Young is the most talented, but I think Cutler will do the best since he's in the best situation...
Jay Cutler, has the mobility and a very strong arm. He is very accurate with his passes and will be the best of the three, despite being picked the lowest.
if i had to choose between the 3 im takin vince young. vince youg has his best games when it matters the most. the championship game speaks for its self. he's goin to be a GREAT qb. i will go a step further i believe he's goin to win a superbowl or 2.
