It's almost a flip a coin situation for me between Earl Clark and James Johnson. I'm going to take Earl Clark on this one. Both forward positions are a concern for NJ but the Yi Jianlian experiment failed and I'd like to see them get a guy to play next to Lopez. Wouldn't be mad at a James Johnson pick at all though.
Count:
Earl Clark- 11
James Johnson- 2
DeJuan Blair- 1

Re: ISH Mock Draft - #11 Overall - New Jersey Nets
If Earl Clark really gets that 3 down, they're set at PG,wing, and C with a core of Harris, Clark, Lopez.
I'm personally really high on Clark, and if he develops a tough mentality and a great work-ethic, I think he'll be more successful than a bunch of people we have ahead of him so far such as Evans, DeRozan, etc.
Re: ISH Mock Draft - #11 Overall - New Jersey Nets
James johnson is the better fit for the nets than earl clark- johnsons inside out game complements yi and andersons outside in games- johnson gives better help as a rebounder and post presence from the 3, clark will be the better perimiter defender but johnson the better fit overall
Re: ISH Mock Draft - #11 Overall - New Jersey Nets
I'll go with James Johnson out of WF here. I'm not high on Clark and Johnson is more of a true SF that has the complete package which the Nets could really use to go along with their star of the future Devin Harris.
Re: ISH Mock Draft - #11 Overall - New Jersey Nets
This is where the great Earl Clark falls. All around player that can do a bit of everything. His head isn't entirely there, which could cause a few GM's to pass on him, but overall the guy should come into his own in a couple of years. This would be a good pick for the Nets.

I prefer James Johnson, but you can't deny Clark's potential. I personally think JJ will be a better NBA player because Clark is sort of a wimp, but if Clark ever did improve his aggressiveness and mentality, he could be an All-Star.
