Default Why has Tiago Spitter fallen so much?

I remember two years ago, people thought he would be a top 3 pick. They were sure he'd be the new Dirk, now it's projected late 1st round in most drafts, what happened, why did he wait so long?

He had a lot injuries that had delayed his progression.
Last season in spainīs Tau Vitoria (his club) he put up weak numbers - comparing to preterite years.

He keeps going back and forth on entering the draft.

Also he's rather unimpressive when playing with his pro team. I've been told that because they are teaching him to play exclusively from the paint and he currently more comfortable on the perimeter.

Injuries were a concern, but that's not the main reason.

Tiago is being held back by his contract with his team in Brazil I'm pretty sure it has a no buy out clause. If it wasn't for his contract, he would be in the NBA today.
