Default Ish Smith

watching the UNC-Wake game, ESPN crews keep gushing about him, guaranteed he will be a millionaire and have a long and productive NBA career.

I was surprised to hear them say this because no mocks have him drafted, he is a senior and his stats are pretty terrible. But watching him play really does not match his stats. With his fairly garbage numbers people consider him the best player on the team.

IMO he could be a rondo-type. he is very active on defense. He can't shoot the ball at all, but he is so fast, good at controlling the pace and not giving up the dribble.

I think he might be a good pick for a backup PG in the second round

lol they keep going
marc jackson "he is a can't miss prospect" says he will be able to do anything he wants to in the NBA.

Never seen someone so convinced about a player who noone has in their mocks.

Default Re: Ish Smith

Jackson made himself sound like a fool, overreacting to the controlling player in the only college game he did- smith is not an nba player- he would be a 1 way player who would get abused on defense

I think of it as the cris paul effect how these tiny guys are coming into fashion in the nba- but remember that paul is a once in a generation player and that the game isn't made for the little guy unless he is an offensive machine- ish smith can't shoot at all and is tiny- and each team can only have one of these little guys on the roster and some don't want to carry one at all- so there's less than 30 of those spots

Maybe someone gives smith a shot, but not with a 1st rounder, so saying you bet on this guy being an nba millionare would make you a fool- I like mark jackson he just went overboard
