Do you remember when Doc Rivers had Orlando playing out of their
skulls??? He was coach of the year....... Doc was not given a
chance to continue when a bad luck streak hit and I like to see
loyalty to coaches. Doc coaching today's Orlando team might
be something very very special? Motivation?? Doc in Boston seems
ordinary, doesn't add one of those intangibles teams need to
excell.

Give Mitch a few years to really work with this new young team.
Time to build the relationships necessary to create that trust that
creates unselfish teams like PHX. (but play some D too)

Ugh they didn't just sit around doing nothing and suddenly got good. They had a system in place with D'Antoni and they got the perfect player for that system in Nash.

The main beef I have with Mitchell is his lack of creativity. His offensive sets are basically the quick playbook in NBA Live. Pick and Roll with Ford, Iso with Bosh, Chuck Threes, etc.. He rarely utilizes the high low pass with Rasho when it works a good percentage of the time. Things like off the ball screens are rare if existent at all. He's a good guy but his strategies are lacking.

The high low pass may work a couple of times in a game but teams do adjust. It's not like you are going to run it 20 times a game just because it worked once or twice.

In terms of the Phoenix system it also helps you have guys on the floor that can all hit the outside jump shot on a consistent basis.

And that is why we will struggle to imploy a phoenix style offense here. We don't have any consistent 3point shooters.

I never said to run it 20 times a game. But when a pretty effective play is even attempted once every few games it's a cause for concern. I would rather have that than that double screen BS that Mitchel runs. Backdoor cuts are pretty scarce in his playbook. Too many times down the floor the players have no idea what to run because the only play drawn up was a simple pick and roll.

good to see you all have stopped being critical of Sam, give this
team more time, they are a ton of fun to watch

I am going to reiterate all of the things I said before:

I vote Sam for coach, lets go for consistency.

I also vote for letting this thread float into the history books.

It's funny what winning does. Criticism stops about the coach.

But I would expect if at some point they lose 2 games in a row people will be at Sam's throat again.

Let the season play out.

Lets hope not. Let SAM coach and grow with the team. He is maturing as they are.

Default raptors need a new coach

the reason why the raptors need a new coach are following
1. sam think tj is better point gaurd than jose (please)
2. sam think cb4 is the number 1 option for the raptors(not anymore)
3. the way sam do the postgame interview(disrspect a lot of people)
4. every player can have a fair playing field to fight for pt
5. everytime I watch interview on tj the only thing he talk about
is him and chris, he is not a team guy,you can bet on it.
plus he is so stupid and sam still don`t make the move.
JOSE is ten time better than tj .fire sam then we will have legit
starting PG.

A lot of those games we've won in our current streak we should have won. Look at the talent level of some of those teams. I'm not taking credit from Sam but we're still under .500, we haven't proved anything yet.

I hope Sam gets a good long run with this team. They are
improving and are young. Same track as the Lakers this year.
Gotta like that!
