Default Should Amare Stoudemire play for Team USA this summer

or just take the summer off to keep resting and slowly recovering?

Or maybe being active for Team USA will help get him back into shape?

He tried to play this season and recover slowly and that didn't work out to well. I think he needs to recover at his own pace. The only way I could see him being on the USA team is if he feels healed and joins the team for practise only. But I doubt the coaches being open to that. I think he should play it as safe as possibly because I'd hate to see him with an injury like this for the rest of his career.

Amare needs to get rest, then gradually up the tempo in practice, untill he feels comfortable playing again.

i don't think he should. He should focus on getting the knee ready for a run at a championship next year.

Stick him out there. USA needs him. If he breaks his leg...oh well. He served his country.
