Default Fire in the Suns

Well this team I usually pick up as a late game , so I have been watching them lately

I think after the trade there was some comfort zone acclimation for the players , but NASH shows his cred.

I still think they make the playoff's.

The biggest issue was big man rotation for this team , and I think coach Gent has figured it out as well as his players.

I love the way the Suns have been playing of late but I'm not sure if we can make the playoffs unless Portland and Memphis goes on a losing streak. I could be wrong though. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Gortat is beasting and Gentry remembered that the Suns kick ass when they play 4-out with Nash and 3 other bombers.

The lineup of:

Hill or Peet

... is sick. They played that offensive set a lot last year and almost exclusively during the playoffs. Not sure why Gentry went away from that all year, but I hadn't seen it AT ALL before the Celts game. Now it seems he is going with it a lot... hopefully it's not just a fluke. The spacing is better for the Nash/Gortat PnR, and when the D collapses every single man on the perimeter can make them pay. After a few 3's drop the PnR becomes more and more effective, and the D has to pick their poison.

Seems like a no-brainer and I hope they continue to run the offense like this.

Gortat is ballin' I'd still like to see him play like this against some top level guys though. He did really well against Boston, I'd like to see more of that. I'm glad we have peet, he seems like he'll be a great replacement for GH. I really liked that part of the trade when we made it. I wonder if we could still make one more trade to really push us over the edge. RLopez/VCarter and whatever else for something like JSmoove or another really good big man, wonder if we could pull enough to get K Love. I had hoped we would trade for him in the last offseason.
