Default Ex-Raptor Pape Sow Hospitalized

Quote:
Caja Laboral announced Friday that center Pape Sow has been hospitalized with a type of pulmonary embolism.

There is no timetable currently on when he will return.

Caja Laboral is scheduled to play the best-of-five Playoffs against Maccabi Electra starting Tuesday, March 22 at home in Vitoria.

A pulmonary emboli is a potentially life threatening medical occurrence. What occurs is a blood clot originally forms around a complicated plaque in a blood vessel, then dislodges and occludes a major artery between the heart and lung. Get better Pape!

wow. i would really like to know what happened with him. You get such clots after travelling or sitting around for a very long time. These athletes aren't traveling for long hours nor are they sitting around for an extended time period. Kinda curious as to the etiology.
