He was 6'0.5 in shoes so pretty much 6'1 pretty average height for a point guard

Lawson is 6 ft and the same height as Jonny Flynn who were picked #6 in the same draft..

Size mainly. Also for some reason scouts thought he had no jumpshot (and he actually is a good shooter). There were also some questions about his durability (he was injured a few time at UNC). That being said he still should've been a lotto pick.
