It's funny. Get over it. Like I said, that could have been about any player in the league, and just the fact that NBC Sports actually published that, is hilarious.

Agreed. We should be enjoying this winning record we have rather than laughing at the deficiencies of our players. I don't know about you guys but i'm gearing up for the playoffs!

I knew one of the euro lovers would get pissed when I posted that.

But I didn't write it, I just copied and pasted from NBC.

Truthfully I think Andrea must play through some injuries because he's hardly missed any games over his career.

It's just funny that the guy from NBC extrapolated that because his game is soft he would likely sit.

Yes, and it is probably the opposite. The injury may be used as an excuse to stay at the three point line and avoid contact, so he can do what he likes.

As to my point in the other thread about swapping Oden and Barges... or Chandler and Barges... whatever deal makes sense for both teams and players...

....Toronto Star and I quote...

Still, the Raptors’ 102-98 win over the Magic on Sunday night amounted to the latest measure of Howard’s essentialness (not to mention the alarming increase in Toronto’s intensity level when Andrea Bargnani rides the bench in street clothes). With the Magic up eight points and seemingly poised to cruise to an uneventful win in the opening throes of the fourth quarter, Howard took a five-minute-plus respite on the bench.

http://www.thestar.com/sports/basket...s-mvp-material

..

Now I dont want to belittle anyones opinion here. Barges is a very good offensive player with some great shooting skills...and he will add value as a 6th man or a starter on the right team (like Portland where they are commiting to Lamarcus to be the 5). Further at $10M per season his contract is fairly reasonable and many teams would be interested in him.

Simply put he does not match the future of this team anymore.

Nor will he ever because he was the first overall pick some 4 years ago and the fans and the media expect far more of him than he can contribute to this franchise.

Time for Barges to move on; I think even the management recognizes it. He needs to reset expectations somewhere else.

Do you think Indiana would accept Bargnani for Danny G?

Since Indiana have a "clone" of Granger with Paul George, the might want to move his contract. And Bargnani would fit well with Hibbert at the front court.

And I was searching around the league who would be the best player "maybe available" for Bargnani and who would fit with Derozan and Davis. It's clearly a SF or a C, but there's not many good center available to compliment Ed Davis

Do you have others idea?

That would be a wicked trade for us and he would fit a lot better in our core. Hopefully draft a young center like Kanter because when you look at it we will be painfully thin at that position come next season.

2011-2012 Projected Lineup With Proposed Trade

Kanter-Alabi
Davis-Amir
Granger-Johnson-Kleiza
DeRozan-Barbosa
Calderon-Bayless

If that were the case I would look to sign a centre for 2-3 years.
Maybe Chandler or someone like that.

We would probably have enough cap room to sign a free agent like Gasol..

This lineup would be awesome

But since Gasol is a restricted FA, we'll have to offer him a sh*t load of money to be sure Memphis don't match the offer

I'm not sure how I feel about using our top 4 pick to draft a backup center.
