Default Best seasons by an NBA Sixth Man you recall

Since 1983, the NBA has handed out an award for the league's best sixth man.

What are some of the best single-seasons by an effective sixth man coming off the bench that you can recall?

One of the more impressive years I recall was Eddie Johnson in 1989- his 21. PPG average was tops that year among non-starters, helping lead Phoenix to a 27-win improvement from the previous year from 28-54 to 55-27.

Also made the All-NBA 3rd team that season, and finished 10th in MVP voting behind Steve Nash and ahead of Dirk Nowitzki. Definitely a great season for him individually.

he dropped a 46 point / 8 assist game against the Cavs that season (outscoring Lebron)

a week later he dropped 44 points / 4 assists in 37 minutes against the TWolves

obviously guys like Odom, Ginobili come to mind.
but here's a shout out to Bobby Jackson- the guy was amazing coming off the bench for those beloved Sac-town teams.

Of this era Ginobli takes the cake in my opinion. He played the 6th man role perfectly the year he won. He chirped in some great rebounding and assist numbers, as well as steals, for the 30 minutes he played that year too. Talk about getting it done coming off the bench.

Off the top of my mind in the 90's, Detlef Schrempf was great for the Pacer's. Look up his stats, this dude filled up the stat sheet.

And then the era before that in the 80's when it first started : Kevin McHale.

So these players had the best 6th man years for there decade.

80's : Kevin McHale.
90's : Detlef Schrempf
2000's : Ginobli

Detlef Schrempf had some amazing years as a 6th man. In the 1992 season with India, he averaged 17.3 / 9.6 / 3.9 @53.6 FG%.

Tony Kukoc wasn't bad at all.

26mins, 13 points on 49%/40%/78%, 4 assist, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 21 per.

Roy Tarpley was the best 6th man of all time.

Unfortunately he liked to party as hard as he played.
