Default Blazers add old F/C Kurt Thomas

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to terms with forward/center Kurt Thomas. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Thomas, 39, holds career averages of 8.6 points (48.6 FG%), 6.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16 seasons with Miami, Dallas, New York, Phoenix, Seattle, San Antonio, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Not the best signing, but not the worst. Kurt is ancient, but still pulled down nearly 6 rebounds per game in just under 23 minutes. Without Roy on the team, the Blazers are poised to be more of a running team than they have been in years past. Kurt's age and decreasing mobility aren't great for a running team, but I think he is experienced enough to know how to rebound and pass out to start the break for the 4 other players on the court.
