Default Andray Blatche anyone?

Andray Blatche on the block...

if we wanted him we would mostly likely give one of tayshaun, gordon, or charlie v. they would probably want tayshaun. it would free up jerebko to play SF and give us a shotblocker and scorer beside greg. andray does have some off the court issue history, and his pick and roll defense is suspect.

would you rather wait and try to get one of Drummond, Davis, Jones, Sullinger or snag andray now. remember that harrison barnes and a couple other wings are also good prospects in this draft.

but if we do get one of the big men in next years draft, blatche could become a hindrance to their development.

I say wait on this team. He's a big gamble.

if washington was willing to accept for a tayshaun for andre deal, would you do it?

Andray Blatche isn't going to save this team. It's not smart to make a trade right now. There aren't any superstars that want to come to the Pistons. We need to face that reality. Dwight Howard isn't going to make Detroit one of his destinations. We aren't going to sign Deron Williams or even KG for that matter in the offseason.

We need to lose as many games as possible. Let our young guys get some experience. Right now we're projected to be in the top 3 teams in the draft. That is how we can turn things around. We have Monroe who is a stud. We have Knight who seems like he's going be a solid PG in this league. Then of course we have our other young pieces like Jerebko, Daye, and Stuckey. Imagine being able to draft a guy like Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, or Perry Jones. All of those guys are already better than Blatche. That will help turn this team around in a hurry. Then we can trade Charlie finally (of course there would need to be others involved) but we could get some value in return there too. And by the way, it really looks like Jerebko is more of a PF than a SF in this league. I think he'd be great coming off the bench but he's not the guy we want guarding people like Bosh and Amare on a nightly basis. As smart fans we have to sit back, enjoy the season, and lose as much as possible and not worry about it this season. With another good draft pick we'll be back in the thick of things again.

I wouldn't trade anyone for him. His contract goes a year longer than Charlie's, and I wouldn't give up Tay or Gordon.

I really think the best way to a build a team not in a sexy location is to suck for a few years and get a bunch of young talent that you can hopefully hang on to. This formula worked for OKC and is working for the T'Wolves. LAC would be stacked had they stayed the course with the sucking and just drafted Kyrie instead of unloading Baron and going after Paul.

I don't want to jinx it but Joe D looks to be 2/2 for his recent lottery picks (Daye was taken 15th). If we continue our ways we should get a top 5 next year.

Exactly, it's the OKC formula. Even if you look at a team like Sacramento or Utah they have some nice young pieces too. This draft is going to change a lot for some teams. There's a ton of talent. I think next year we could be decent (with a high lottery pick) and in two years time we can be good again.

I would give up charlie V for him ONLY if he was going to be a 6th man. Wouldn't want him as a starter, not a good team player, not good for locker room, lots of red flags...

Haha, on one hand it makes me fantasize about how awesome we could become with Anthony Davis. On the other, we're going to have next to no chance in drafting him if we keep this up.

We could easily win 3 of the next 4 to close out the month.
