Default Will Toronto go after D'Antoni?

I remember alot of fans in t.o. wanted this coach while New York fans were dying to get him out of our hair. Do you guys think he would be willing to relocate to the Raptors and if his style would help the team out of a rut? I say keep in mind the upcoming 2012 draft where a potential player will come to t.o.

They just brought in a coach who's trying to make some significant organizational culture changes (and who seems to be doing quite well, all things considered).

Why would the Raptors do anything to undermine that at this point? Bringing in D'Antoni only raises questions and speculation about the next head coach. The Raptors need stability.

I can't see a scenario where bringing in D'Antoni is a good idea.

Casey should be the coach for a very long time in my opinion.

I'm jealous that your brevity got across my thought much more eloquently.

D'Antoni is one of the most overrated coaches of all time. Nash got him his name as an "offensive guru" or whatever the hell you want to label him #notafan

I'd have been happy to have D'Antoni a few months ago but I'm happy enough with Casey and he deserves at least a couple of years to build the team his way. Completely different coaches, good at different things, but I just want the Raptors to be good at something (plus not a joke at anything), I don't care whether they specialise in fastforward offence or fierce defence.

I hope not.

Were trying to adapt a defensive philosophy FINALLY.

Why do we need a coach to only preach offense ? Unless he becomes an assistant... then fine, but not the head coach.

No D'Antoni....after all these coaches we have had, I feel we have a coach that can help us out! All we need is an offensive coordinator to help Derozan and others with offensive sets.

Please, no. Unless Raptors somehow discover another Jeremy Lin, D'Antoni won't lead them to anywhere but mediocrity.

D'Antoni is a great coach who knows how to win championships and get the most out of mediocre and unknown players.

NY has a big problem and it is that the are trying to build the team around the wrong player. No coach will get a contender out of a team led by Carmelo and Amare.

D'Antoni teams are consistently the worst defensive teams in the league.

Not sure if that is the case in Europe, but in the NBA defence wins championships.
