Bucs release S Tanard Jackson due to a failed physical.

Kind of sucks b/c I liked him and thought he had potential to be a Pro Bowler.

Why are the Bengals always so keen to sign Cowboys defensive castoffs?

Looks like a holdout by Mike Wallace is pretty likely.

Looks like Revis wants a new deal, the rumbling has started. I don't think he comes to camp without one. THe jets can structure it in a way to give them help this year so i think both sides can benefit.

And Giant TE Ballard will probably miss next season as he not only had an ACL tear, he needed microfracture surgery.

Revis wants ANOTHER new deal??

Didn't his play take a mild downswing since signing his last one couple years ago?

I bet he just wants a new one since inflation, contracts getting more pricey and seeing Nnamdi and other top guys getting nice deals.

He should STFU and honor his deal, best CB or not

No, you might want to STFU and read the details first...

O ok. Yea that makes sense, didn't know it was considered a 'band-aid' deal. Thanks for the link. I just assumed he already wanted a new deal to be paid higher than some of the new deals of guys like Joseph, Asomugha, etc.

Let's get it. Leading leader in tackles is back. Will inevitably slow down but stoked he's back. Took a while.

Also like the Jackson signing, even though it was more obvious than most signings so far. He's far more talented than the other safeties brought in this offseason.

Any Bucs fans wanna give me a low down on his major weaknesses?

Tanard Jackson was my favorite Bucs player on the defensive side since he's been a rookie. He was by far our best playmaker.

His major weakness this last year was tackling, but I think that's primarily due to him missing 18 months of any type of football due to the year-long suspension. When he was activated, he STARTED the very next game.

He used to be a big hitter and our best tackler. He is a good ballhawking safety. He CAN be a Pro Bowl safety. But he does have some risk. One more negative pee test and he's banned for life. His work ethic has been questioned during the offseason too.

But I really was hoping he'd get another shot in Tampa.

O geez that's the third player the Skins have that are some THC ridden urine from being suspended for a while.

What are we?? The new Portland Trailblazers

Still optimistic about his abilities. I was not a fan of the Brandon Meriweather signing and I'm underwhelmed at the Cedric Griffin for FS hire. It could work out but remains to be seen.

Tanard Jackson>> Madieu Williams. Guess they're just getting bodies in to push each other and compete, maybe find some good special teams guys.

We need it to work if they wanna be a top 10 defense
