Looks like Revis wants a new deal, the rumbling has started. I don't think he comes to camp without one. THe jets can structure it in a way to give them help this year so i think both sides can benefit.
And Giant TE Ballard will probably miss next season as he not only had an ACL tear, he needed microfracture surgery.
O ok. Yea that makes sense, didn't know it was considered a 'band-aid' deal. Thanks for the link. I just assumed he already wanted a new deal to be paid higher than some of the new deals of guys like Joseph, Asomugha, etc.
Let's get it. Leading leader in tackles is back. Will inevitably slow down but stoked he's back. Took a while.
Also like the Jackson signing, even though it was more obvious than most signings so far. He's far more talented than the other safeties brought in this offseason.
Any Bucs fans wanna give me a low down on his major weaknesses?
Tanard Jackson was my favorite Bucs player on the defensive side since he's been a rookie. He was by far our best playmaker.
His major weakness this last year was tackling, but I think that's primarily due to him missing 18 months of any type of football due to the year-long suspension. When he was activated, he STARTED the very next game.
He used to be a big hitter and our best tackler. He is a good ballhawking safety. He CAN be a Pro Bowl safety. But he does have some risk. One more negative pee test and he's banned for life. His work ethic has been questioned during the offseason too.
But I really was hoping he'd get another shot in Tampa.
