Default fun way to play 2k (offline multiplayer) anybody else do this?

Only for offline multiplayer - Me and a friend have been doing this for years and we were wondering if more people play the game this way.

We either hold fantasy drafts (with or without legends - from the dlc in 2k12) and export teams (sometimes we make 1 team, sometimes 2) and play eachother via the quick game menu (9 minute games, good sliders).

Or we pick players in turns (with or without legends included) and build ultimate teams. Sometimes we pick 24/36 players a piece and with these players, create 2/3 teams to battle eachother.
In 2k5 you could hold a two team fantasy draft via the quick play menu. Sucks that that option doesnít exist anymore.

Any of you play the game this way?

yep, me and 3 buddies
would usually do a fantasy draft. we actually rate players in tiers. so players in certain tiers would be worth 20 pts, 15 pts, 10 pts, 5 pts etc all the way down to garbage scrubs who are free

we cap at 50 pts (low on purpose, did 60 before, but getting 3 superstars, and rest scrubs is too good). we'll usually draft 9 guys (somtimes 10). so one buddy might get two superstars. and then fill out their roster with scrubs
while another might go for one superstar, and balance out the rest.
and some will even go no superstar and get good balance all around (usually not good, unless you're comfortable and good with all your players).

and then we'll do round robin, we each play each other twice (home/away).
then we seed ourselves 1,2,3,4. better seed gets homecourt. 1 plays 4, 2 plays 3, then winner plays winner for the ship!

of course its all for money too

sounds long and complicated. but after weve done it a couple of times. it goes by nice and quickly

haha sounds nerdy, but damn its fun as hell. drafting is really fun. lots of strategy, stealing certain gems at different tiers... stealing a player that another guy is gunning for, etc.

Damn.. that sounds awesome. We don't play with a cap, so it's either a regular fantasy draft, which most times gives you one superstar and a few roleplayers, or we make ultimate teams, full of stars (and even legends some times). I should introduce this cap thing you use.
We were planning on drafting 8 teams a piece (legends included) and do a playoffs. Every time one of your teams get bounced, you pay. If in another round two of your own teams face eachother, you get to pick which one you want to play with (since you made the teams).

And you're right.. it all sounds pretty nerdy, but making teams is fun, sometimes even more fun than playing the actual game. It's good time spent with friends as well, so it's all good
