Default Re: Is this the last title run for the Kobe-Gasol-Bynum core?

i don't think so
bynum if he stays healthy will only countine to get better and get more touches on offense
gasol and kobe are amazing basketball players because of their incredible iq and skill set they won't suddenly turn into scrubs
if you take a look at kg nash and duncan who still play at such a high level even at a advanced age
both kobe and gasol will stay in the nba for at least another 3 or 4 years if not more

OAN: Kobe/Gasol/Bynum aren't KG/Pierce/Allen, so their is no "last run" with them. All Lakers have to do in the offseason is sign better bench players to augment those 3.

His trade value will only go down as he gets older. If I'm Mitch Kupchak, I trade Gasol ASAP if the Laker's don't win it all this year. Especially since Gasol still has respectable trade value.
He averaged 17 and 10 with Bynum emerging. 32 isn't that old, in fact he's younger than Bryant. He's bound to decline with age but still a very good player.

Are you kidding? Even when the Spurs were up 2-0, I recall people making absurd claims that the Cavs would make it a 7 game series.

I hope Bynum gets hurt, and Gasol and Kobe continue their declines. Cavs get a lotto pick if that happens!

Maybe this is the last shot for Kobe making a great title run as the clear best player on his team. They still have more title runs in them. They are the Lakers afterall, they won't ever have to worry much about reloading talent. PLus, we've been saying the Celtics are done every year. And in the end they always come out and surprise us
