if you've seen atlanta over the last years, you would've known earlier.

New york doesn't even have a good playmaker/pg.

How do you expect amare to ball?

Can any1 name a good big man that plays well without a good playmaker/pg?

Really tho.

I would be pissed too if I were Amare. This man is easily a 20-10 guy and can get you 25PPG every night. You're paying this man 100Mil+ for 5-6 years, yet only giving him 16 shots in 2 games? Hell even J.R Smith took like 17 shots in game 1 alone, Melo took 41 shots combined in both games. If you're just asking Amare to hustle and go all the dirty work, why did you sign him in the first place? Should've just used Jared Jefferies.

They signed him to score 25 points per game and attract big name free agents in season 1 and then to deffer and do the dirty work from season 2 until the end of the contract.

Not to nitpick, but Amare has never averaged at least 10 rebounds a game and this season averaged a near-career low at 7.8 rpg this season and 6.0 rpg in the two playoff games. Amare is not really a beast on the boards, for his size and athleticism he's probably average at best. One of the reasons he's overpaid IMO. I question how much of the dirty work Amare can even do in general, seems like merely a scorer and finisher, not much intangibles to his game.

Why do Knick fans keep saying trade Amare? There is no market for him. Nobody is going to take a risk on his contract because it is not insured. If he gets a career ending injury then he still has to be paid by the team, where as with a normal contract if a player gets a career ending injury the insurance covers i and the money gets to come off of the cap. Amare is not getting trade. You guys are stuck with him, Melo on the other hand is tradeable. Just don't expect to get what you gave for him because you guys would be trading him when his value is at its lowest.

I'm glad I'm not the only one on this board that seems to understand this.

Amare = Knick for life.

Tim Duncan says hi. He plays well with or without Parker, and Parker is not a good playmaker despite being a good scoring PG.

Woodson's probably thrilled. No Amar'e means more isos for Carmelo and JR Smith.
