Default here's what the knicks should do...

get melo as many shots as possible over next to games so he averages 40+ points and then trade him for deron williams!
we'll see amare turn into a beast again and knicks finish 4th in the east while melo can win the scoring title in brooklyn.

Default Re: here's what the knicks should do...

I would accept that and it would be with no bitterness towards Melo. But Deron is Deron.

And I'm sorry, had Wallace not opted out...I'd extend Landry and Lin and add them...can't have them all.

But Landry and Lin could be sent somewhere, in return for a SF.

What makes people think that Russian owner is interested in working with Melo now, after he dangled himself in front of them like a carrot in front of a mule?

Nets won't want Melo. He wasted their time, so I'm sure they'd rather not work with him.

Unless we can get him for MarShon Brooks straight up we don't want him. Even then I don't really feel he's a good fit. There is no way the Nets will trade Dwill though.

money.
melo could play his game, be alpha male #1, average 30+ ppg. he'll sell tickets and tons of jerseys; he was born there.

The Knicks should scrap this team. Trade Melo and Chandler together because they aren't getting a trade for Amare unless they inlude Shumpert and Lin. Even then nobody wants Amare.

If that didn't play a factor two years ago why would it now? The Knicks need a major overhaul going into next season. Keep Melo, Chandler and Lin. Get rid of Amare. My opinion.

Trade everyone. Keep Lin,Novak and Chandler.

Give Lin and Novak 20+ shots per game. We still won't win a playoff game but at least the Garden will be rocking every game because Lin and Novak would take all the shots

Nets should consider this, especially if Deron indicates that he doesn't want to re-sign. Melo's already locked down for a few years.

If Deron leaves it's because he wants no part of being in the area. If he loves it here, why take $25M less to move across the river? To be more scrutinized? And have less power on a new team? In the same market?
