Default Re: How can you call a team as stacked?

Any time you have two top 3-5 players and another top 15-20 player you are generally considered stacked no matter how strong or weak your depth is.

Haslem
Miller
Chalmers
Battier

isn't terrible depth to have after the big 3...guys who are built for the big 3's style.

SAR was never considered a top 15 player or a top 3-5 PF.

lol when you have two of the best players in the world on your team with an All-Star power forward, you're stacked.

Reality is there are many more teams there with much better depth... who are more "STACKED".... even the Lakers is more "STACKED" than Miami Heat.....

At the end of the day the best TEAM will win the championship, not the best player..... like it always has happened in NBA history.... no matter how good you individually play its inevitable the best TEAM will win the championship...
Please the Lakers stack...they have a hole at the SF position and they still don't have a bench. Heck even the Bobcats bench is better than the Lakers LOL. The only weakness of the Heat is Length that's it, and even then is not a glaring hole as big as people think. The reason the Heat wasn't number one in the season was because Wade got hurt in the season that's it.

They have no less than 8 players id want on my team. Baron is old but hes as good a backup point as you could hope for. Bibby is nothing at this point but really...thats a talented ass team.

Id say 3 all stars and decent role players its usually fair to call a team stacked. Or 2 and a gang of legit starters.
If Lin was Valentine's month Lin then I would say yes they are stacked. But he hasn't prove to be there yet when he played with Melo so I won't called them stacked, plus Amare hasn't played good at all since Melo has been on the team anyways.

stacked would be the Chicago Bulls, who have good to great players at EVERY position and a bench that can outplay starters of some teams in the NBA. i mean, cmon now. stacked would definitely be in that definition. right?

We have DEPTH but obviously unlike teams such as Thunder, Dallas and you name it. The thing about the Heat they're VERSATILE.

I'd say they're kinda stacked. They have 2 franchise players who can breakdown anyone off the dribble and get to the rim at will. They have a top 5 power forward in Bosh. Chalmers is underrated offensively, probably because he defers to LeBron and Wade, otherwise he's a pretty good defender. They have great shooters off the bench to space the floor. They Have Haslem who would probably average 10 or 11 rebounds a game if he were a starter. last but not least, just about every one of them is an above average defender, some of them being elite. They are faster and more athletic than any team in the league. I'd say their only weakness is the center spot, but their help defense is so good that it's not really that much of a problem. Imagine if they had a center that didn't miss wide open dunks and fumble every pass he got, then they would really be stacked.
