You know who says something similar. Mike D'Antoni.

Which George Karl is basically. Pretty sure both coaches love to switch on defense constantly. I think the only difference is Karl loves more defensive intensity and you'll see him try to trap players all the time like Chris Paul. Better at managing players and ego's it seems like. Got everybody to buy in, Mike D got PHX to buy but couldn't get NY too.

The problem with Mike D (NO SLEEP TILL....), um D'Antoni is that in NY he didn't have the players to run his system, and everyone looked at him for Plan B and he basically just stood looking confused. Especially when Melo came, we all assumed he'd use Melo as this second facilitator and instead he wanted him to be no more valuable than our bench guys. Melo is by no means an innocent there, but it was ridiculous.

At least Karl gets guys to play hard. But i think sometimes he'd rather have this team with very little chance at a title, than a similar team but replacing some guys with stars that he couldn't use as interchangable pieces.

I really like AA, but he's an average offensive player. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen him take his man off the dribble. Still, would love to have him on my squad.

In reality you don't need this special brand of player to run the system, atleast Denver's. Just need guy's to play hard and with tons of effort. It's not like Denver's a good shooting team, were pretty brutal. Ty Lawson running the fast break, Faried etc. are all good on running teams I guess.

Maybe. Not sure, before Gallo got hurt you could tell Karl was going to focus him alot more in the offense, he was putting up like 17ish a game. He's always talking about Lawson being more aggressive and trying to force him to be like a Tony Parker.

IMO I want Karl gone. Been here too long with little success. For whatever reason people don't seem to hate on him. His teams have made key mistakes in key moments in the playoffs. '09 WCF, this year.

He can take people off the dribble, not his best asset but he's clearly done it.

Averaged 15 points a game, 47% shooting, 40% from 3. Shot 42% from deep last year, 43% the year before.

He was averaging 19 points(14 games), on 52% in April. 5 20+ games, including a 30 point game. Averaged 17.5 in March on 50% shooting.

Pre All-Star when he was dealing with injuries I'm pretty sure - 12.7 points per game 43% shooting. 32 games.

Post All-Star - 17.9 points per game 50% shooting. 30 games.

I don't know what's an average offensive player in the league, I'm guessing it's not Afflalo. Considering Denver was probably the best or in the top 3 of offensive teams and AA was the second leading scorer.

AA is a nice player, problem is perception, he was a big FA and they resigned him so people expected he was going to burst out, rather than just continue on a normal curve. Perception changed a lot.

Played the same amount of minutes, averaged 2+ more points per game. Hit that 15 average. If this was an 82 game season, he was on a tear to end the season. Averaged almost 18 points per game in the second half of the season.

He just choked in the playoffs. He shot the 3 ball at a 40% clip, was a good defender, averaged 15 points. Honestly probably exceeded expectations. I didn't think he'd ever score like he did this year. His defense regressed and showed more offensive skill.

If you asked me if AA is a dissapointment, i'd have said no easily. But once he hit FA people expected him to become a first option type star, more i think from other teams interest than him staying or what he got.

Ohhh. Well I would agree 100% than. AA IMO couldn't be anything more than a 3rd option. Even than I'd rather his offense be reduced to what he was last year and his defense return to that level. Perfect 3 pt specialist\defender. This year became a tad bit more than that and his defense took a hit, once again in my opinion anyways.
