How? Villa is not a 3, he is a 4-5. He is not quick enough to defend on the perimeter and doesn't have 3 pt-range. He is not an NBA 3.
They have Bogut and Mags at the 4-5. How is Villa an AWESOME fit?
Are you serious or joking? The whole purpose of this offseason for the Bucks was to find a way to move Bogut back to his real position of center, and this trade solved it. Bogut is center, Villanueva is power forward, and Magloire will be traded for depth at the wing positions.
That's a fact. The only way it can work is if the bench is upgraded with good defenders who can be brought into the game situationally.
A rotation of Smith, Bogut, Mags, Gadz and Villa at the 4-5 fills that purpose, though still a little soft inside when you compare it to Chicago, Miami, and Indy but its right in line wiht NJ. Its a waste of Mags, asking him to be Jason Collins.

...which is EXACTLY why it's time to trade Magloire to Minnesota for Trenton Hassell, Eddie Griffin (who will be waived, he's an expiring contract), and one or two second-rounders.
We can't have 3 centers again like last year. Gadzuric gets paid $6 million a year to play 5 minutes a game or collect DNP's, and meanwhile the 2/3 positions are so weak that Jiri Welsch and Tony Kukoc are logging big minutes. We'll be a better team if we move one of the centers for a wing player, and the GM has even gone so far as to state that Magloire will be traded, and knows as much.
What the heck. I'd do it. The only problem is, it'd require some actual basketball brains in the front office to get it done. That's usually where things fall apart for us Wolves fans.
