Carroll can be the Hawks' Novak - spreading the floor.
I doubt they will bring back VladRad, so he could play that role that Vlad was supposed to play (but didn't get enough minutes).
Jenkins, Morrow and Carroll would help clear lanes for Teague and would help out on double teams on Smith and Horford.

The Hawks need to lose as many games as possible. Hopefully bums like Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow can continue to decline as they have been for years.

The Hawks aren't shooting for rebuilding via draft; we are rebuilding via adding players in free agency when the expirers we have expire.

The Hawks situation is different from teams like Charlotte and Cleveland where they are actively trying to rebuild the draft.

Losing games isn't where the Hawks are at.

We should still be a first round playoff team with the roster we have right now, and if we add some more pieces that could be turn into the second round this year. Then add another A level free agent next season and hopefully that pushes us further.

This team is not going to put together a championship team through free agency. Nobody that is top notch going to sign with the Hawks. And no, guys like Stephen Curry and James Harden are not top guys. As a number one guy I very much doubt that he would be as good as Joe.

If Ferry thinks he will be a title contender through FA HE WILL FAIL.

Joe was a good player, but his contract was so big that the Hawks could never add another badly needed big.

If he had made 17 million per season, the Hawks would have had another 5 million per season to spend on a big to help out Horford and Smith at the bigs.

So whoever we add may not be as good as Joe, but financially their contract will be less and will allow the Hawks to add more depth.

The Hawks will not put together a team in the next 3-5 years that will be able to hang with Miami or Brooklyn. In other words, they will end up in the same position once again.
